Ellen Plante
Ellen (Ellie) Plante has built a strong client following in Southern Nevada’s real estate industry. You’ll see her all over the valley, and she especially enjoys serving the areas of Lake Las Vegas, Henderson, and Boulder City. With her reputation for being one of the hardest-working, committed professionals, Ellie believes that there is nothing she cannot do when it comes to serving her buyers’ and sellers’ highest aspirations, and her clients feel the same. As soon as a home is put on the market, or she understands what her buyers are looking for, Ellie is on the ground running to work out the best marketing strategies and locate the perfect home. A natural disposition for connecting with people from all walks of life, Ellie loves to work with investors, seniors, and families who are relocating from in or out of state.
Ellie began her real estate career in 2002, and with her strong business background, she dove right into the ownership of a franchise in Utah representing a national brand. After five years, she moved on to become a broker for an established global luxury brand, opening one of its Utah branches. In just a short period of time, Ellie became the top 1% among her real estate peers and continues to hold that honor to this day through her hard work and her adherence to impeccable standards. Known in the industry as a “tenacious negotiator,” Ellie believes that the work of real estate is not for the timid or the fainthearted. No two houses are identical, so if her buyers see a home they’re interested in, she tells them that hesitation and procrastination are not an option.

Giving 110% in everything she does, Ellie excels at most everything outside of real estate as well. She went from a 36 handicap in her golf game to a 16 in one year, later reaching a 9. She is a 4.0 tennis player, and just recently began playing pickleball, winning the silver in the Huntsman Senior Tournaments averaging 4.5 as a player. She and her husband, Bill, a Firefighter and Paramedic for the city of Las Vegas since 2001, both enjoy heading out for a relaxing boating excursion on Lake Mead.
Finding a person that will work hard in today’s world is like finding a needle in a haystack. I have been told time again that I am the hardest working agent in Real Estate, and I’ve had to break down barriers to prove that I am not just another “agent” sticking a sign in the ground in hopes that another agent will bring a buyer. When moving to Lake Las Vegas from St. George, Utah, I was told I would have a hard time breaking into an area where I don’t know anyone. I was born and raised in San Diego, CA and moved to St. George, UT and didn’t know one person. Through my hard work ethics and professionalism I was able to be the top performing female agents in the board. One thing you don’t tell me is that I can’t do something because that’s when I will become determined not just to do it but to do it well. I have stayed in the top 1% in sales since starting real estate over 18 years ago.
My accomplishments are from giving 110% in everything I do. I started golfing and went from a 36 handicap to a 16 in one year (and then to a 9 handicap), was a 4.0 tennis player and now I enjoy playing pickle ball (yes I am getting older) as well. Her husband, Bill has been a Fire Fighter/Paramedic for the city of Las Vegas for over 19 years; hence, the reason behind moving to the area. My credentials speak for themselves as “awards” are not an important part of my life. I love to give back to my community and to those around me that are in need-making a difference to those in need is the greatest “award”.
I am known as a “Tenacious Negotiator,” which is to say that the Real Estate business is absolutely not for the timid or the fainthearted. No two houses are identical, so if you see the home you and your spouse are ready to start a family in, hesitation and procrastination are not an option.
Real Estate is a “People Business” so unless you really enjoy talking in person and on the phone with dozens of people every day, this is not the career for you. When I started this career over 18 years ago, the attraction wasn’t “money” per se, it was the thought of recreating the energy I had initially enjoyed in advertising. I really enjoyed meeting new people and creating ads, talking with people on the phone responding to my creativeness. I discovered that I had a natural predilection for working with people on such a close basis, that’s why real estate was such an easy transition.
We’re not always lucky enough in life to find the perfect career that complements and enhances our personality and character, but there is truly no other career that I could have embraced that would have utilized all of my skills and talents that I have been blessed with. With Real Estate, I’m not working hard for some faceless corporation, I’m working for real people whom I can talk to, laugh with and share the joy of happiness when they finally move into their Dream Home. There is no greater job, “NO” greater Realtor.
